This was my first tattoo. I got it in May 2010 but had been planning it for years. It’s Ferdinand the Bull - the little bull who didn’t want to fight but wanted to sit under the tree and smell the flowers. It’s about pacifism, being different and being OK to be yourself. And yeah, it’s a bit gay but so am I. This is based on several of the original sketches from the Munro Leaf book but it has been brilliantly modified by my tattoo artist, Lauren at Holdfast in Perth (Australia), including the addition of the filigree underneath it. I freaking love it.

I loved he old Ferdinand the Bull cartoon growing up. Next to Willy the Operatic Whale. :P
